1. agriculture

Control of nutrients in soil and plant products. Like nitrogen, phosphorus is a nutrient that plants need in large quantities during normal growth. Overfertilization can occur in agricultural production, so it is important to analyze these parameters.

2. Disinfection residue control

0.1% peracetic acid is sufficient to kill bacteria, viruses, fungi and sporoides in the shortest time. Therefore, it is often used in the infectious low temperature disinfection process of beverage packaging bottles. Complete control of disinfection residues includes analysis in both high and low concentration test ranges.

3. Food and beverage

(1) Rapid quantitative analysis of hydroxymethylfurfural content in honey.

The freshness of honey can be determined by testing its hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) content. HMF is an organic compound produced by the dehydration process of fructose, such as when heated to facilitate packaging. HMF is almost undetectable in fresh honey and then increases at a rate of about 2.3mg/kg/ year (depending on storage temperature and pH). At 21°C, HMF content can rise to 20mg/kg in just one year.

(2) Determination of vitamin C in foods and beverages.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a parameter that is frequently tested in many food and beverage industries. The reduction of this ingredient will cause a decrease in quality and taste, so it is necessary to test its content.

(3) Detection of acrylamide.

In fried or baked goods (such as potato chips), the reaction between asparagine and reducing sugars (fructose, glucose, etc.) may produce acrylamide, which is considered a toxic carcinogen. Therefore, reducing sugar in potatoes should not exceed the maximum allowable limit.
